God’s Word

inprayer1. Admit that God has not been first place in your life, and ask Him to forgive your sins.

“If we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong” (1 John 1:9)

2. Agree that Jesus died to pay for your sins and that He rose from the dead and is alive today.

“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9)

3. Accept God’s free gift of salvation. Don’t try to earn it.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Life Lines…
…About Life in Christ

grace“For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will – to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One he loves.” – Ephesians 1:4-6

Regardless of which “Life Line” you choose to read below, you will be reminded that God has always had you in mind, a relationship in mind, a family in mind, a forever home in mind . . . a home free of death and destruction and evil. You are indeed the highest affection of His heart . . . spend some time around His Word and you soon discover that He has loved us with an everlasting love.

In fact, all of Scripture is a revelation of God’s love for you, personified in the incomparable work of His sent Son, Jesus Christ . . . sent to our circumstances, our journey, our search. He never designed us to become too attached to transitional housing . . . perhaps the simplest way to describe our planet, in fact our very own body. He came to make sure you make it . . . home . . . because He is a God of grace!

Detours

read-iconGod knows you are on a journey, one with detours, speed bumps, delays, redirects, unexpected curves . . . all of which have left you far from His home, His destiny…

S.O.S

read-iconIf you heard the cries of a panicked 9 month old toddler trapped in a locked car . . . if your neighbor was trapped in a fire-engulfed home . . . if you came upon an elderly man whose pickup had stalled ona railroad track in the path of an oncoming train . . . would you intervene? If you were any of these three lives, would you cry for help?

Buddy Pass

read-iconThe choice, once again . . . is up to you. Even though He stands at the door with a “boarding pass” for the trip of a lifetime . . . many . . . in fact all, first choose to go in directions other than the one God intends. This is the human predicament . .

Heaven’s Tab

read-iconGod’s answer is simple: go to the right gate . . . accept His “boarding pass”. He has provided the right aircraft for the soul . . . He has paid for the fuel . . . He has the right navigational and communications equipment . . . He can take you home.

Inspiration in Song

“Come To Me” by Jenn Johnson, Bethel Music:

I am the Lord your God, I go before you now
I stand beside you, I’m all around you
Though you feel I’m far away, I’m closer than your breath
I am with you, more than you know

I am the Lord your peace, no evil will conquer you
Steady now your heart and mind, come into My rest
Oh, let your faith arise, lift up your weary head
I am with you wherever you go

Come to Me, I’m all you need.
Come to Me, I’m everything
Come to Me, I’m all you need.
Come to Me, I’m your everything

I am your anchor, in the wind and the waves
I am your steadfast, so don’t be afraid
Though your heart and flesh may fail you, I’m your faithful strength
I am with you wherever you go

Come to Me, I’m all you need.
Come to Me, I’m your everything
Come to Me, I’m all you need.
Come to Me, I’m your everything

Don’t look to the right or to the left but keep your eyes on Me
You will not be shaken, you will not be moved ooh
I am the hand to hold, I am the truth, I am the way
Just come to Me, come to Me, cause I’m all that you need

“Hope of the World” by Hillsong United:

For the love poured out
For the price of freedom
Let the whole earth sing
The praises rising
We stand in awe of what you’ve done
For us, at the cross

The hope of the world
Lifted on high
Calling us home with arms out wide
To know you forever, to love you forever
You are our everything

Our sin erased,
We’re forgiven
You made a way
You are our ransom
And we owe this life for all you’ve done
For us, at the cross

The hope of the world
Lifted on high
Calling us home with arms out wide
To know you forever, to love you forever
You are our everything

All we need is You

The hope of the world
Lifted on high
Calling us home with arms out wide
To know you forever, to love you forever
You are our everything

“Here” by Kari Jobe:

Come and rest here
Come and lay your burdens down
Come and rest here
There is refuge for you now

You’ll find His peace
And know you’re not alone anymore
He is near
You’ll find His healing
You’re heart isn’t shattered anymore
He is here

Breathe in
Breathe out
You will
You will find Him here

I will rest in You

You will find Him
You will find Him here
You will find Him
You will find Him here

“As for Me and My House” by John Waller:

I‘m done
Building my own kingdom
No more
Seeking worthless idols

Like sheep we have all gone astray
We must choose this day
Whom we will serve

As for me and my house
We will serve the Lord
We will serve the Lord
Idols raised, tear them down
Cause we will serve the Lord
We will serve the Lord
To one king we bow down
As for me and my house
We will only serve the Lord

I’m done
With powerless religion
No more
Living in deception

As for me and my house
We will serve the Lord
We will serve the Lord
Idols raised, tear them down
Cause we will serve the Lord
We will serve the Lord
To one king we bow down
As for me and my house
We will only serve the Lord

We will cross over Jordan
We will claim what you promised

We will not give our hearts to another
Will not give our hearts to another
We belong to the Lord
We will not give our hearts to another
Will not give our hearts to another
We will only serve the Lord

“Save Me” by Melissa Jackson, Gateway Worship

In desperate need of mercy, at the end of my own strength
I fall upon the kindness of Your grace
Lord, I know that You are good, You came to rescue me
So please, hear my humble plea

Save me, Lord, save me
I have nowhere else to go
Lord, I trust in You alone
To save me, my Savior
I call on Your Name, Jesus save me

In desperate need of mercy, at the end of my own strength
I fall upon the kindness of Your grace
Lord, I know that You are good, You came to rescue me
So please, hear my humble plea

Save me, Lord, save me
I have nowhere else to go
Lord, I trust in You alone
To save me, my Savior
I call on Your Name, Jesus save me

Lord, I believe You died to set me free
Lord, I believe in You
Lord, I believe Your blood has ransomed me
Lord, I believe in You, Lord

Save me, Lord, save me
I have nowhere else to go
Lord, I trust in You alone
To save me, my Savior
I call on Your Name, Jesus save me
I call on Your Name, Jesus save me
I call on Your Name, Jesus save me

“Rescue” by Desperation Band:

You are the source of life
I can’t be left behind
No one else will do
I will take hold of You

I need You Jesus, I need You Jesus

My heart is Yours for life
I need Your hand in mine
No one else will do
Lord I put my trust in You

I need You Jesus to come to my rescue
Where else can I go?
There’s no other Name by which I am saved
Capture me with grace
I will follow You

My heart is Yours for life
I need Your hand in mine
No one else will do
Lord I put my trust in You

“God Be Praised” by David & Alena Moore, Gateway Worship:

You saved my life from death
When I was all defeated
You spoke Your promises
And brought life to my weakness
Came as a conquering King
And You warred for my freedom
My soul can’t help but sing
Hallelujah

You opened up my eyes
For the first time I saw You
Your love commanding life
And deserving devotion
You told me who I am
Now in faith I believe it
My soul can’t help but sing
Hallelujah

You’ve made a place for me
Silenced all my accusers
Leading me forth with peace
Filled with joy I will follow
Your cross demands my life
Now Your grace is my anthem
My soul can’t help but sing
Hallelujah

Hallelujah, we’re redeemed and made free
By the blood of the Lamb We have won
Hallelujah, we will sing victory
Jesus conquered the grave
God be praised

“Sweetly Broken” by Jeremy Riddle:

To the cross I look, to the cross I cling
Of its suffering I do drink
Of its work I do sing

For on it my Savior both bruised and crushed
Showed that God is love
And God is just

At the cross You beckon me
You draw me gently to my knees, and I am
Lost for words, so lost in love,
I’m sweetly broken, wholly surrendered

What a priceless gift, undeserved life
Have I been given
Through Christ crucified

You’ve called me out of death
You’ve called me into life
And I was under Your wrath
Now through the cross I’m reconciled

In awe of the cross I must confess
How wondrous Your redeeming love and
How great is Your faithfulness
