My Life Verse
“When I am afraid I will trust in You.”
Psalm 56:3 (CSB)
My Life Notes
God illuminated Psalm 56:3 as we were facing a difficult situation, causing fear and worry.
As I read the words, “When I am afraid I will trust in You, “I thought of all the difficult circumstances that are sending a shiver of fear into my heart.
So, I went on a word search.
I circled the word afraid and underlined trust in my Bible. Going to the dictionary app on my phone, I looked up the definitions of afraid and trust.
I was quite surprised!
“Afraid: feeling regret, unhappiness; feeling reluctance, unwillingness, distaste or the like.”
“Trust: reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety of a person or thing (God); confident expectation of something; hope.”
My Life Application
How does this apply to my life? How does it apply to your life?
The words that define or can replace afraid are areas we struggle with when circumstances bring fear into our hearts. I am reassured with the posture of trust that my reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, and surety of a faithful God.
Trust in God will chase fear away.
We must take a posture of trust in our good, good Father in times of fear.
My Life Prayer
Heavenly Father In times of fear and anxiety, remind to trust in your ability. Amen
