I am serving as the lead pastor of Pray’s Mill Baptist Church located in Douglasville, Georgia—just west of Atlanta. I am married to my wife Kari and we have four children (Karis, John Mark, Kalli, and Judson). I earned my M.Div. and D.Min. in expository preaching from the school of theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
I am the founder and director of the G3 Conference—a theology conference that was birthed from the life of our local church and is held each January in Atlanta with the goal of serving the body of Christ with media to encourage, equip, and educate in sound biblical truth. I am also the editor of The New Calvinism, a book designed to compliment and critique the New Calvinism movement.
My wife and I grew up as children in Pray’s Mill and we don’t remember the first time we actually met. Following college, we married and pursued God’s call on our lives for the gospel ministry. We moved to Louisville where I attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. During my seminary years, I served as a pastor in Kentucky. After graduation, I served a church in middle Tennessee (McMinnville, TN) before accepting a call to return home to serve Pray’s Mill Baptist Church.
It is my desire to grow closer to my God, become a better writer and communicator, converse with other Christians about important theological subjects, and to prompt other preachers and teachers to excel in sound biblical doctrine.
