Perhaps on this the day …
of the passing of “America’s Pastor”,
so many of the timeless sentiments uttered by the much beloved Billy Graham
are reverberating in my heart.
So, here are my
Billy Graham Quotes
“I’ve read the last page of the Bible,
it’s all going to turn out all right.”
“My home is in Heaven.
I’m just traveling through this world.”
“God proved his love on the Cross.
When Christ hung, and bled, and died,
it was God saying to the world, ‘I love you’.”
“The only time my prayers are never answered
is on the golf course.”
“Christ not only died for all: he died for each.”
“They asked my wife Ruth Graham if she ever thought about divorce
and she said, ‘No, I’ve never thought of divorce in all these 35 years of marriage,
but,’ she said, ‘I did think of murder a few times.’”
“When we come to the end of ourselves,
we come to the beginning of God.”
“The moment we take our last breath on earth,
we take our first in heaven.”
“The cross shows us the seriousness of our sin –
but it also shows us the immeasurable love of God.”
“I am not going to Heaven
because I have preached to great crowds
or read the Bible many times.
I’m going to Heaven just like the thief on the cross
who said in that last moment: ‘Lord, remember me’.”
“During all my years as an evangelist,
my message has always been the Gospel of Christ.
It is not a Western religion,
nor is it a message of one culture or political system . . .
it is a message of life and hope for all the world.”
“You have to come to Christ.”

My letter to the Graham family earlier today included these sentiments,
“Thank you Franklin and the entire Graham family,
including the BGEA and Samaritan’s Purse, for sharing Billy with the world –
we rejoice in his home going and ask for the Father’s comfort in your temporary loss –
Psalm 116:15 John 12:26 John 3:16″
