Anyone else troubled by the number of murders and rising crime rate? I am! Thankfully I realized we are not left helpless. James tells us, “The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” ~ James 5:16 (AMPC)
No matter who you are, where you live, how old or young, regardless of social status, you have an opportunity to be the change. As Christians, we are given amazing power to fight against the enemy. The battles we face, the fight around us are not with flesh and blood. Satan and his demons are in the world trying to mess up the world. However, we are given God’s power through Christ, who has all authority and power, to fight any and every battle. God is greater than anyone or anything in the world, and with Jesus living within us, we have HIS power. Our prayers are powerful because our God is ALL-POWERFUL!
Use the power you’ve been given in Christ. Pray for revival. Pray blind eyes will be opened; hearts will be drawn to Christ, and the power of the enemy broken. Pray for your city and country. Prayer-walk your home and neighborhood and pray for those who live and work near you.
Be the undercurrent that brings the current of change. Mustard seed sized faith moves mountains, and one person’s prayer can be the spark that ignites revival.
Throughout history, many of the major revivals can be traced back to the prayers of one person or just a few people. Satan wants us to be so worried and concerned that we don’t do anything but be worried and concerned. Let’s use the power of prayer. Prayers make a difference and have power to bring about change. Pray for God’s Spirit to move. Pray God’s word to fight against the evil in the world.
Pray that men and women of God will stand firm, be bold, and accurately teach God’s word. Pray for God’s truth to expose the enemy’s lies. Pray as God’s Spirit leads you to pray. Pray, friends. Pray, and watch God work!
Heavenly Father, I humbly come before You. Thank You that You are all-powerful, loving and a just God. I praise and thank You that nothing is hidden from You and nothing is impossible for You. Oh Father, there is so much evil in the world and so much heartache. Please open the eyes of those blinded by the enemy, open them to see You, to hear Your truth, and to turn their hearts to You.
Pour out Your Holy Spirit on our land, shine Your light and expose the lies of Satan. Raise up Your children to live to please You and boldly live for You. Show us clearly how to love with Your love. Holy Spirit guide us in our prayers so that You can freely move in our lives and in our world. We love You, Father and ask these things in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
