Life is a battlefield and it’s easy to want to wave the white flag and just sit and moan. It is so easy to be overwhelmed by all the horrible news, the tragedies, evil, and injustice of this world. Yet hard days, difficult days, heart-wrenching days, good days, bad days, downright ugly days, are days to praise.
Wesley Duewel writes, “Praise is the Christian’s heavy artillery; praise is more effective in spiritual warfare than is an atom bomb in military battle.” *
The enemy wants you to think your situation is impossible, but remember with God all things are possible, so praise God.
The enemy wants you to think you’ve been defeated, remember the devil has already been defeated, so praise God for His victory.
The enemy wants you to do nothing but whine, instead praise God and let His light shine.
The enemy wants you to give up, instead look up and praise God.
When we come to God in praise and thanksgiving, we aren’t ignoring our problems, heartaches, or concerns. Praise and thanksgiving rights our thinking, lifts our souls, and lifts our countenance to remember God’s MIGHT, POWER, and MAJESTY. His love is unfailing, His might and power are inexhaustible, and the evil forces of this world will fall! God always triumphs.
The last thing the enemy wants you to do is praise, so praise away and let those spiritual bombs fly in the MIGHT, POWER, and MAJESTY of our AWESOME GOD!
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” ~ Psalm 100:4 (NKJV)
