What Are You Mighty Mountain?

My LifeVerse

“I will look unto the LORD;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me.”

– Micah 7:7 –

My LifeNotes

Ever find yourself feeling world’s apart from the boldness
of the Prophet Zechariah who state, “What are you, mighty mountain?”

God knows our prayer-life can grow lifeless and become a “duty” or “religious chore” if you will . .
an exercise where belief gets swallowed up by present challenging circumstances
which become “larger” in our minds than the very God we are praying to.

How did Jesus respond?

In Mark 11 he states,

“Have faith in God .. Truly I tell you,
if anyone says to this mountain,
‘Go, throw yourself into the sea’, and does not doubt in their heart
but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”

My LifeLesson

This is David “JB” Miller reminding you that we as leaders in the Kingdom of God
are to be fueled with holy expectation – not just on a “someday soon” scale,
but in the moment, the here and now . . the every day.

No wonder God provided manna that couldn’t be stored –
He wanted to be known as the God who eclipses our greatest fears.

No wonder Jesus instructed us to ask the Father for “our daily bread” –
He wanted to be known as the God who is engaged and can be trusted in this present hour.

No wonder Jeremiah, the weeping prophet, reminded us
that the Lord’s compassion’s never fail but are instead new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23) –
he knew that God wanted to known as the One true faithful God –
not one day escapes His notice nor is any day void of His sure power and provision.

My LifePrayer

“Father, You are our sun and shield;
You give grace and glory;
No good thing do You withhold
from us who walk uprightly. Amen”
(Psalm 84:11)

How is God encouraging you today?
