My Secret Weapon As A Mom

It’s not my ability to multitask …

not my natural scent that can mask how many days it’s actually been since I’ve showered, not the way I can grocery shop with my eyes closed, not my cooking skills- unless you consider mastery of the crock pot as genuine skills, nor is it my ability to carry both children along a diaper bag, toddler backpack, and my purse successfully to the car. Nope.

My single most effective
and powerful weapon . . is PRAYER

My mom was and still remains my greatest example of what it means to pray for your children. And not just pray, like a little here and little there. But faithfully, consistently, passionately pray believing and trusting God with everything that life can throw our way.

So with that, I wanted to share the scripture have been praying for my daughter for the past 3 years. Psalm 1:3 ( I always insert her name as I pray this scripture over her life)

Lord may Charlie be like a tree planted by streams of water,
bearing fruit in every season,
not withering but prospering in every way.

I fight for my daughter’s
health and future through prayer …

I ask that God would cause her to be strong like a tree and plant herself in a thriving relationship with Jesus, the giver of life and all things good. I ask that God would help her to bear fruit; I pray the fruits of the spirit- that she would have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control (Galtions 5:22-23). And that she would never wither- mentally, emotionally, physically, socially, spiritually- but that she would always prosper in every way!

So, won’t you fight with me this week? Let’s pray!
