We are in such an age of knowledge. Information is often hitting us from all sides with suggestions and conclusions. With all this advancement we have to ask ourselves what are we learning? What is being applied and experienced in our lives? Often we hear words and we don’t realize their full meaning. Secularism has redefined words to a cultural norm.
Consider the word grace; so easily we could give a superficial definition that analyzes the surface of the word according to our understanding. Grace cannot be contained in a definition. Mere words cannot articulate, or demonstrate the magnificent inspired life of Christ. The emphasis can be on the action of grace, before the revelation of what it is. The revelation gives the full meaning, it is more than mere knowledge. We see the glimpse of this mystery, progressively unveiling the deeper meaning. Divine Grace has many facets and sides. If we were to look at a diamond, holding it up under the light we would see the beauty and color of this precious stone. Gods grace is a show of a spectrum of beauty that reveals His holiness. “Spectrum” can be understood as a band of colors, as seen in a rainbow, produced by separation of the components of light by their different degrees of refraction, according to a progressive series of a wavelength , arranged according to such characteristics as frequency, charge, and energy. If we were to pull this definition apart we would see a mystery unfold. For instance, after a storm seeing light from the sun breakthrough the dark clouds this light touches the water droplets in the atmosphere and color appears. This color is not abstract, but precisely patterned. As light is absorbed, the true color is revealed. So as the life of Christ is received as a revelation, Christ true beauty is revealed in and through us. Just as the rainbow pierces the darkness after a storm – so our lives manifest the glory of God.
The beauty of what we will discover is that grace is the manifestation of the person of Jesus Christ. His wholeness. Christ demonstration of love is totally dependent on Him – offered unconditionally. So how can we give this life? We cant! When it comes to giving grace, often people are found in the balance, undeserving of any grace. This is true because it is on our terms, our righteousness, our interpretation. Grace must come from Jesus himself, we are simply a conduit of His life. The action comes as the overflow of personal fellowship with the meaning of Grace. Anything that originates with us is corrupted and fragmented. Grace flows from above and empowers the believer and sets them free in His liberty. The outcome is a reckless flow to all, regardless of condition or response!
A personal Revelation of the Grace of God is life transforming. Often we tolerate the deadness of mechanics and routine and we live in just appreciation of things rather than experiencing all that God has. Grace causes us to be fulfilled in the mystery of love. The center of Grace is Christ and there are countless eternal expressions of Gods kindness towards us. As we look to the Lord we are in a constant discovery of how our lives, in time, are woven into eternity. We display the mystery of His Grace, be a continual receiver of it moment by moment. It is Gods unmerited gift for YOU.
