I’m so glad you dropped by. Let me introduce myself.
My husband, Larry Wilson, and I co-founded Lighthouse Ministries of Raleigh in 1991. I served as a biblical counselor and Bible teacher with Lighthouse for 24 years. While I no longer counsel, I continue to share biblical insights through blogging, speaking, and writing.
God’s word has watered and refreshed me countless times. I want to refresh others with the refreshment I’ve found. My desire is to refresh your faith and enable you to:
- Experience the Bible’s life-giving relevance for your life.
- Discover inner peace and security in whatever circumstances you’re in.
- Discern God’s voice and follow Him in the adventure He’s planned for you.
- Develop an eternal perspective.
- Enjoy being God’s friend.
My newest study, Give Yourself a Break: Discover the Secrets to God’s Rest, was written to help us replace our doubts and striving with peace and confidence.
My husband Larry swept me off my feet at a summer project when we were on staff with the high school ministry of CRU (then called Campus Crusade for Christ). Our life together has been an adventure of faith!
We have two grown children who love the Lord. Our two standard poodles fill our daily quota of affection and fun. Beauty inspires me—be it in nature, fresh flowers, art, or interior design. And, I’m addicted to dark chocolate.
I received a B.S. in Nutrition from Georgia Southern University. I served on the staff of the high school ministry (Student Venture) of Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) in Boston, Indianapolis, Oklahoma City, and Orange County, California. I studied Biblical Studies at The International School of Theology in San Bernardino, California and Biblical counseling from Scope Ministries in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
